RE-1 — Membrane Termination
Tests roof edge termination for mechanically attached and ballasted systems. Load = design load applied at the roof deck. Evaluates perimeter attachment against membrane billowing forces.
RE-2 — Fascia / Gravel Stop / Drip Edge Pull-Off
Horizontal pull-off test on face of metal edge flashing. Design load = qz · G · GCp where GCp = 2.5 (corner zone). The tested resistance of the product must meet or exceed this calculated load.
RE-3 — Coping Pull-Off Test
Simultaneous horizontal (outward) + vertical (uplift) loads on coping cap. GCp = 3.2 for corner zone. Both face and back leg are tested separately. Failure = any component loss of securement.
GT-1 — Gutter Wind Load Test
ANSI/SPRI GT-1 (2021 IBC Section 1504.5) requires gutters be tested for horizontal, vertical, and static loads. Design pressure = qz · G · GCp. Gutter hanger spacing and bracket strength must resist calculated loads.
Disclaimer: This calculator is for preliminary estimation only. Final design loads must be verified by a licensed structural engineer using ASCE 7 and the applicable IBC version for your jurisdiction.
